By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

  • Email (privacy requests & general support): Info@gethangovercure.com
  • Mailing address: Stone Douglas LLC, 18804 189th St, Spring Hill, KS 66083

2. A note about our platform (Shopify)

Our Site is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify application, and is held behind a firewall. Payment transactions are processed through Shopify Payments and/or third-party payment processors and are encrypted in transit (for example, via TLS) and handled in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). For more information, you may review Shopify’s privacy practices.

3. Information we collect

We collect personal information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

(a) Information you provide directly

  • Identifiers & contact data: name, billing and shipping address, email address, and telephone number.
  • Order & transaction data: products purchased, order value, order history, subscription selections, and the last four digits and type of your payment card (full card numbers are processed by our payment processor, not stored by us).
  • Account data: if you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences.
  • Communications: information you provide when you contact us, leave a product review, respond to a survey, enter a promotion, or subscribe to marketing.
  • Marketing preferences: your email and (if applicable) SMS opt-in status.

(b) Information collected automatically (cookies & similar technologies)

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device & technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, language settings, and time zone.
  • Usage & browsing data: the pages and products you view, referring/exit pages, links clicked, search terms, session duration, add-to-cart and checkout activity, and timestamps.
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address.
  • Cookie & pixel data: identifiers placed by cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies (see Section 6).

(c) Information from third parties

  • Advertising & analytics partners (e.g., Google, Meta/Facebook) that help us measure and target advertising.
  • Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers that confirm and protect transactions.
  • Shipping carriers that provide delivery and tracking information.
  • Social media platforms, if you interact with our content or click our ads.
  • Review and marketing apps that we use to operate the Site.

We do not knowingly collect government identifiers (such as Social Security numbers) or special categories of sensitive data for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and manage returns and exchanges;
  • Create and manage your account and any subscription you start;
  • Bill you and process payments, and detect and prevent fraud, chargebacks, and abuse;
  • Communicate with you about orders, subscriptions, customer service, and Site changes;
  • Send you marketing and promotional messages (where permitted), including newsletters and, if you opt in, SMS messages;
  • Personalize your experience and show you relevant products and content;
  • Operate, measure, and improve the Site, our products, and our marketing;
  • Conduct analytics and measure the performance of our advertising (including Google and Meta campaigns);
  • Serve and measure interest-based/targeted advertising on third-party platforms (see Section 7);
  • Administer promotions, contests, surveys, and referral programs;
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.

5. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR/UK GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to process and deliver your orders and provide customer service (Art. 6(1)(b));
  • Consent — for marketing emails/SMS, non-essential cookies, and interest-based advertising, which you may withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a));
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our business, prevent fraud, and conduct basic analytics, balanced against your rights (Art. 6(1)(f));
  • Legal obligation — to comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements (Art. 6(1)(c)).

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels, web beacons, local storage, and software development kits) to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. Categories include:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (e.g., cart, checkout, security). These cannot be switched off.
  • Performance/analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Site (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Functional — remember your choices and enhance features.
  • Advertising/targeting — used by us and partners (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Pixel) to build audiences, retarget you, and measure ad performance across sites and apps.

Your cookie choices. You can manage cookies through our cookie banner/preference center (where available), your browser settings, and the opt-outs in Section 7. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), for browsers that send them, treating them as a request to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” and targeted advertising for that browser or device.

7. Advertising, analytics, and your opt-outs

We run advertising and measurement through third-party platforms, most notably Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

Google. We use Google Analytics, Google Ads, and related Google products to measure traffic, run conversion tracking, and serve remarketing/interest-based ads. Google may set cookies and identifiers and use the data subject to Google’s own policies.

  • Opt out of Google Analytics: the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
  • Manage Google ad personalization: adssettings.google.com.
  • Google’s Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Meta (Facebook/Instagram). We use the Meta Pixel and/or Conversions API and Meta Ads to measure conversions, build custom and lookalike audiences, and retarget visitors. Meta may receive information that you visited the Site or took an action (such as a purchase), associated with your Meta identifiers, subject to Meta’s policies.

  • Manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram account settings (“Ad preferences”).
  • Meta’s Privacy Policy: facebook.com/policy.php.

Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of many participating companies’ interest-based advertising at:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
  • (EU/UK) Your Online Choices: youronlinechoices.eu

Opting out stops interest-based ads from participating companies but does not stop all advertising, and you may still see non-personalized ads. Opt-outs are device/browser-specific and may be reset if you clear cookies.

“Sale” / “Sharing” disclosure (U.S. state laws). Because we allow advertising and analytics partners to collect identifiers and online activity through cookies and pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising, these activities may be considered a “sale” and/or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. You can opt out as described in Section 8 and via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our Site footer.

8. Your privacy rights and choices

8.1 Marketing communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the “unsubscribe” link in any message or by emailing us. If you participate in an SMS program, reply STOP to opt out. We may still send you non-promotional, transactional messages (such as order and shipping confirmations).

8.2 “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” / opt-out of targeted advertising

You may opt out of the “sale”/“sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising by:

  • clicking “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” in our Site footer;
  • using our cookie preference center (where available);
  • broadcasting an opt-out preference signal such as GPC; or
  • emailing Info@gethangovercure.com.

8.3 U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Know/Access the personal information we have collected about you and information about our processing;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete personal information we collected from you;
  • Portability — obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • Opt out of (i) the sale of personal information, (ii) sharing/processing for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising, and (iii) certain profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects;
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (where applicable);
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights;
  • Appeal — if we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.

How to submit a request. Email Info@gethangovercure.com or use the footer link, with at least two of the following so we can verify you: name, email used for orders, order number, and shipping address. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable once where permitted). Authorized agents may submit opt-out and other requests on your behalf with proof of authorization, and we may require you to verify your identity directly.

California “Shine the Light.” California residents may request information about the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

8.4 EEA/UK/Swiss rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing; to data portability; to withdraw consent at any time; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, your national Data Protection Authority, the UK ICO, or the Swiss FDPIC). To exercise these rights, contact Info@gethangovercure.com.

9. How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers/processors that perform services for us — e.g., Shopify (platform/hosting), payment processors, shipping and fulfillment partners, email/SMS providers, review apps, subscription-billing apps, customer-support tools, and security/fraud vendors — under contracts limiting their use of the information;
  • Advertising & analytics partners — e.g., Google and Meta — for the purposes described in Section 7;
  • Professional advisors — lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurers;
  • Legal & safety — to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hangover Cure, our customers, or others;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as a business asset.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own independent marketing purposes.

11. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Site, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order and transaction records are typically retained for the period required by tax and commercial law. When personal information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely store and isolate it.

12. Data security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and use of PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

13. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and process and store information there. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.

14. Children’s privacy

The Site and our products are intended for adults. Our products are dietary supplements marketed to adults of legal age, and the Site is not directed to children under 18 (or under the minimum age set out in our Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact Info@gethangovercure.com and we will delete it.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
